Day 9 Kris Nueve

Last night we stayed at Carrion de Los Condes in a wonderful quaint monastery, converted to a hotel San Zailo. Dinner was delicious, (lamb shanks), accompanied by a full bodied red, all served in the homely restaurant which was full of beams and quirky artefacts.  The next day after A delicious breakfast our orange coast with our trusty driver behind the wheel was waiting to take us to the small village of Sahagun where we visited yet another church – San Lorenzo,La Peregrina. I feel I am a little “out-churched”, but I still cannot stop looking, as they are such amazing masters of architecture, and I has no idea that there were so many saints acknowledged by the church.

Whilst trekking the Camino I Have observed the following:
1.The mystery of where the people are who are obviously living in the villages and towns we pass each day
2.All the villages are neat and spotlessly clean, and they are a pleasure to walk through
3. You need to be patient in Spain, as the service in the cafes and restaurants what you would call relaxed
4. Fresh air, stunning fields of sunflowers
rolling plains dotted with wind turbines.
5. Highlight of meeting and chatting to fellow Pilgrims along the way with a “holla – hello”
and Bien Camino “Happy Camino Travels”
