Wolgan Valley Weekend
Newnes is a tranquil and peaceful setting without internet services which was such a treat. The setting of the spectacular imposing surrounding sandstone cliffs is an artists paradise. The stunning flourish of the new greenery on the black fire burnt trees gives a total new perspective of the scenery. The walks were varied, from rain forest like with the lush ferns, to visiting the glow worm caves and the historical walk around the Newnes industrial oil shale ruins. Our support crew were nothing but amazing providing us with a informative commentary on our daily hikes, cooking delicious gourmet meals, and driving us safely to and from our destination.

As we were sipping our wine and nibbling on exquisite cheeses the colours were changing on Mystery Mountain as the sun set. Our own Uluru at Newnes!

A wonderful weekend was enjoyed by all.
