Serengeti

Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest park, with one of the worlds largest wildlife refuges covering an area of 14’763 square kilometres. The park stretches as far as Lake Victoria to the west, it’s name comes from the Maasai word Siringet, meaning endless plains . The Serengeti ecosystem supports the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa, including more than three million large mammals. Yesterday we spent 8 hours in the Serengeti and were amazed that we only covered a small area, but managed to see an abundance of wildlife.
