BLUE MOUNTAINS WEEKEND

What a fabulous weekend, perfect weather for walking in the The Blue Mountains. It  is a magical place any time of the year. Glowing in autumn, cool in winter, colorful in spring and refreshing in summer. The Blue Mountains is densely populated by oil bearing Eucalyptus trees. The atmosphere is filled with finely dispersed droplets of oil, which, in combination with dust particles and water vapour, scatter short-wave length rays of light which are predominantly blue in colour. The Greater Blue Mountains was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2000 and was one of 15 World Heritage places included in the National Heritage List. Our group of 12 intrepid hikers enjoyed an amazing 2 days of incredible perfect walking weather. On Saturday we hiked the Grand Canyon/Neats Glenn Circuit in the Jamieson Valley. Enjoyed Xmas in July Festive Dinner on Saturday night and attempted to walk the meal off on Sunday with another walk. Here are some fantastic pics.  Thanks girls for an unforgetabe weekend.
