Want to discover why Lonely Planet named Tasmania’s Bay of Fires one of the world’s ‘Most Beautiful Beaches’? We think the best way to find out is to take your time! And so we have carefully curated this “pack free” hike to give you four full days of doing just that.
Firstly you will spend your days meandering over the ancient coastline, taking in the bursts of fiery orange lichen-covered granite rocks and crystal clear aquamarine waters. Along the way, you will discover the rich local history including the whaling industry and indigenous middens (which are scattered along the coastline). Then, at the end of the day, you will enjoy the luxury of returning to your comfortable accommodation. We know every traveller loves a hot shower!
Furthermore, our experienced guides will prepare your meals using the best local produce. While you kick back and enjoy a glass of wine.
Difficulty: This trip requires a moderate level of fitness and balance, as a result, some mild training is recommended. There are some easy beach walks, however,be prepared for some pebbly headlands and rocky terrain. For more general information on what to expect, visit our Adventure Travel FAQ.
Did you know? Those travelling in Feb 2020 have the unique option of adding an additional 5-day hike to their trip including a tour of Wineglass Bay, Maria Island and Three Capes Hike.
